As you see, I haven’t updated in a while – have been quite busy.

I’m glad to announce that I’m working on the following updates, which will be here on Devthought in the next few weeks:

  • WP-o-Matic Stable, with more than 15 bugfixes, and many of the promised features and some that readers suggested.
  • SlideList 2.0 (aka Fancy Menu), more optimised than ever and now with free menu examples. Both vertical and horizontal, text or image based!
  • More cool articles and tutorials!

Stay tuned

Guillermo Rauch said

@Antonio
The answer is 3

Antonio said

@Guillermo
why 3?

however i can’t use yout plugin.
If i try to insert an rss it insert the header of wordpress admin.
Why?
May be there is a problem with cron.php

I can help to traslate wpomatic in italian is you want

Guillermo Rauch said

@Antonio
3.14, the first digit is 3, isn’t it?

There’s, as a matter of fact, a bug with cron.php which remained unupdated from a previous version of WP-o-Matic.

It’s already fixed for the upcoming released, so please be patient ;)

Antonio said

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh “pi” is pi greco!!!

i can’t wait…

i wont bother with the menu2.0, i hacked you version so much i doubt i could do it again :D

I would like to be able to:

auto-add static text to the title of each wp-o-matic post.
place link to origin site at the bottom of posts.
replace author with origin site.

hope to see these features. love your plugin
please don’t stop!

The ideas of mcmasterp are great!! I’m also looking for these features!

When the new release will come out?! I’m still waiting because i need the “duplicated content” bug fixed before i starting using it.

So until it happens my website is without updates :(

i’m waiting for this :) htnxx

Just another person waiting (SlideList 2!).

Any chance of an update? (Even an “I don’t have it done yet”) will do, just something to tell us your still working on it and haven’t gone elsewhere.

Guillermo Rauch said

I haven’t gone elsewhere.

=P

Hang on.

Hi Guillermo,
i’ve got a wp 2.2 installation and can’t add feeds (tried atom, rss and rss2); the feeds I’m trying to add are also from 2.2 installs. I get a “problem accessing RSS feed, please check feed url” error when I try, though I can read them elsewhere (with Firefox) Help!

Just for kicks, I tried adding your blogs feed and got a different error:

# No feeds to display

Guillermo, great work on the WP-o-Matic project, keep up the good work.

You should probably prepare for front page Digg/Reddit etc. If your first article is any example I see a ton of traffic in your future!

Did you survive your last Digg?

alex said

Guillermo… any news? :((

Alex said

39 day but any news :(

When do you release new WP-o-Matic Stable?

Sorry, I don’t work for you.

For the rest, the updates are coming really soon. Probably next week, after some testing.

guillermo, thanks for all your work so far! Looking forward to the stable version of Wp-o-matic!

George Gardner said

Guillermo,

I’m so sorry; I didn’t mean to come across in such a way. The fact is, you have a 1 of a kind plug-in that is a generous gift to us WordPress users. Keep up the excellent work!

Alex said

Help please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(

Alex said

Guillermo, where are the updates? :)
Thanks for reply.

Frank said

Absolutely LOVE your work.
Looking forward to the new Slide Menu muchly.
BTW: I notice someone said your site was ripped but when i went to see it just seemed to be a link back to FancyMenu?
And yeah where do we donate for slide menu? I’d like to when the new one comes out and I can use text. Will be very useful.

@Alex,

you and Guillermo may be good friends, and m reading of these comments may be wrong. But i really, really think you need to give him a break. He does this development for an open source community, is guaranteed nothing and basically wants to help when and where he can. That said, the more you pester and annoy the more likely he is to stop developing and write the whole thing off. This has happened a number of times with top notch plugin developers because they just got sick and tired of every Tom, Dick and Harry telling them what they want and what they need. If you are in such desperate straits then hire a developer of pick-up a PHP book. If you choose not to, then let Gulllermo work at his own pace so that a lot of folks can benefit, rather than no one because you just won;t stop harassing a plugin developer who does it not for money and fame (for we all know there is little of that), but out of a strong belief in a community of like-minded users. Please reconsider your selfish behavior, for it could really have negative implications on a bunch of people besides your -and maybe its time to realize that what you wan and when you want it t is not necessarily paramount to everything else going on in other peple’s lives.

Great plug-in. Very easy to use.
Got a question though: when I add 2 keywords in the feed it says that the feed is invalid e.g.:

http://del.icio.us/rss/tag/keyword1 = OK
http://del.icio.us/rss/tag/keyword1+keyword 2 = Please supply a valid feed url

And this despite the fact that the feed is indeed valid.

Is this a limitation of the plugin?

Thanks

I feel a little cheated to be honest. I donated thinking a new release was coming out several weeks ago. I keep hearing ‘this weekend’ but it never happens.

Hi Matey,

With all due respect dude (I know ur busy) be a team player and give us an idea of when we can expect an update, “the next few weeks” has now turned into a few months and still waiting… does anyone else know of a slidelist menu system which uses text instead of images, looks like Guillermo’s on holiday with our donation money ;)

I think this duplicity is the result of this guys’ small penis.

Вообще, откровенно говоря, комментарии тут гораздо любопытнейсамих сообщений. (Не в обиду автору, конечно :))
